Building My Adultery Empire
Two years later and growing
I posted my first piece on The Medium on May 10th, 2020. I had one read the next day! I was THRILLED!
One read on the worldwide internet.
Pandemic was in full throttle and everything seemed hopeless. Why not just write about adultery? What the fuck did I have to lose? (Well, everything really but I won’t harp on that point). I was home bored out of my mind and trapped (like everyone else I might add).
I started with one article, “Cake Eaters of Adultery.” It’s still one of my favorite pieces, by the way. A heartfelt poignant snapshot of a meet with a potential lover who wanted more yummy cake than he was having at home when I had none at all
“I met this guy…he’s so hot. OMG, I want him so bad,” I told my besty.
“Oh, yeah? Maybe we can chat later?” she texted. That was shorthand for she was tired of my antics and didn’t want to hear more.
So, I started to write.
I poured my soul into the laptop. Never dreamt for a minute I’d have the guts to actually publish it. Well, I did.
During the pandemic “end of times,” I figured, what the hell….
May 12th, May 13th nothing. No one will read what I write, I kinda forgot about putting…
