“Been a while since I posted here (r/deadbedrooms). Just wanted to tell all a little update. Things are going well, and the sex has been fulfilling. Husband was willing to up his game, and I stopped being idiotic with emotional affairs,” wrote FertilizeMe.
I chuckled at her user name (I made it up). Her real user name was gobblygook horribleness.
Ms. FertilizeMe has made her grass green again.
“I have a good man, and he loves me. And I love him, and I’m going to work on me and us,” she wrote.
Ugh.
That was my immediate response.
I wasn’t happy for her. I was envious. I wanted that lush lawn for me.

1. Therapy. We went to couples therapy for a while, and I see a sex therapist.
2. Me-focusing on our marriage. Saying goodbye to the fantasy and working on our relationship.
3. Telling him the sex isn’t good, and it had to change.
