Spoilers ahead. If you haven’t watched the “Just Like That” full season, be warned. Episode eight spoilers.

“This is enough for you?” Miranda argues with Steve in the reboot of Sex and The City, “Just Like That.”

“Sitting on this fucking sectional couch until we are old?!” she adds.
“We are old,” Steve counters.

“We’re 55, Steve. That’s not old. You want 30 more years of this?”
“Is this really happening?” responds Steve. “Are you asking me for a divorce?”

I see myself and my husband mirrored in this dialogue. He wants the boring ho-hum status quo and I want more.

But, I’m not sure what type of “more” I even want.

Do I run away like Miranda with a new lesbian lover? Do I want to start over with a new man? Is having affairs enough to keep me distracted from the monotony of my marriage?

I’m not sure what is “right” anymore. Let alone what I want, if I’m honest.

I see Steve’s point. He was the solid one rooting for them. “You don’t think I’m enough. Then I am enough. And then I’m not enough again.”
